Sunday hooky: a day filled with NO plans.

Ketan and I play.

We start with homemade playdough for some crafty awesomeness.

Then we bust out my make-up brushes and get down to artistic business.

These are my happiest days, when the smell of pancakes cooking on a buttered griddle fill the air, the house is toasty warm, and we are in our jammies playing.

How excited am I that kids storybooks double as cookbooks?  Tell you it’s a win for my little man and a win for his mama.  Ketan loves his books and now I can bring them to life in the kitchen. I had to jump on it. Recipes were hit and miss, so let me replay some of the hits for you.

Toddler Nourishment Made Easy

Ketan_ToddlerToddlers are picky eaters. Around 9 months to a year, I was strutin’ around like a rooster thinking my boy was “different.”

My friends would share their food preparation frustration as I  listened sweetly oblivious to the road ahead.

Who could like something one day, and hate it the next? A toddler.

When does food ever taste better eaten off the ground versus a plate? It does…if you’re a toddler.

Where did this pre-determined bias against any texture closely related to meat come from? Hmm, are they a toddler?

Why can meal time become such a stressful part of the day? You have a toddler.

Determined to win this battle, I kicked into stubborn mama mode, afterall Ketan’s got nutritional needs.
