Taste of Espana; Pinot Noir and Bubbles

When celebrating a 25th Anniversary, only some of the finest Pinot Noir and bubbly will do.  Well, I think it’s a solid rule.

What can I say Gloria Ferrer’s Catalan Festival sets a fine stage.

It started with a bacon wrapped date.  It could have very-well ended there and I would have been quite happy.  My favorite app of the day, paired deliciously with the wines.

Then, kicking it up a notch was the beautifully simmering outdoor paella. I only wish it were possible to emanate it’s scent from this digital picture. And trust me, YOU do too!

The patio was wine country relaxed.

Music and a grape stomp competition ensued.

& the ‘couples scene’ was very romantic…

Actually I jest, these two were the stars of the show, minus the wine and food of course.

A little dabbling with the bubbly was heavenly.

But wait, your probably thinking what about the wine? Gloria’s Pinot Noir and fine Sonoma Brut  stole my heart.  I can see why the Catalan Festival is celebrating its 25th Anniversary.  A splendid way to spend this (and any other for that matter) ‘Silver’ wine country Sunday.
